The Institute of Meteorology and Water Management (IMGW) warns. Strong gusts of wind are forecast in several provinces. It can reach speeds of up to 85 kilometers per hour. Check which regions will be dangerous.

Forecasters of the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management (IMGW) issued first degree weather warnings.

IMGW alerts of the first degree – strong wind

IMGW forecasters issued first degree warnings against strong winds. They apply in the following provinces:

Lower Silesia. Alerts will be in effect there from 7 p.m. to 22 on Tuesday, and in the east of the province – from an hour. 21 to midnight;

Opole. IMGW Alerts in these regions will be in effect between 22 on Tuesday and 1 on Wednesday;

Lubuskie. Alerts will expire at 21 on Tuesday;

Silesianwhere hazardous weather is to be expected between 23 on Tuesday and 1 on Wednesday;

Lesser Polandin the districts of miechowski, olkuski and krakowski, Cracow, Wadowice, Oświęcim, Wadowice, Sucha, where it will be dangerous between 1 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Wednesday;

West Pomeranian – here the alerts will be in force until 21:00 on Tuesday;

mazowieckiein the western part of the province. The warnings will be in effect between 22 on Tuesday and 2 on Wednesday;

warmińsko-mazurskiein the western part of the province. It will be dangerous between 22 on Tuesday and 2 on Wednesday;

Świętokrzyskie, in the poviats: Końskie, Włoszczowa, and Jędrzejów. IMGW alerts will be in effect between 1 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Wednesday;

Pomeranianwhere warnings will be in effect from 7 p.m. to 22 on Tuesday, and in the east of the province – from an hour. 21 to midnight;

Kuyavian-Pomeranian; in the west of the province, alerts will be active from 7 p.m. to 22 on Tuesday, and in eastern counties – from 21 to midnight;

Lodzwhere it will be dangerous between 10 pm on Tuesday and 2 am on Wednesday;

Greater Poland. The warnings will be in effect from 7 p.m. to 22 on Tuesday, and in the east of the province – from an hour. 21 to midnight.

Wind with an average speed of 40 to 45 kilometers per hour is forecast, with gusts up to 75-85 km/h, in the east from the south-west, in the west of the country from the north-west.

What is the first degree IMGW meteorological warning

The first degree warning provides for conditions conducive to the occurrence of dangerous meteorological phenomena that may cause material damage and threat to health and life. Running a business in conditions of exposure to these factors is difficult and dangerous. Expect difficulties resulting from activities in the area where the threat occurs, including delays caused by traffic obstructions, disruptions in the course of outdoor events or the possibility of their cancellation. Caution recommended, the need to follow messages and weather developments.
