IMGW alerts. Strong wind, icing. The slippery belt will squeeze Poland

IMGW has issued weather warnings. Roads and sidewalks will be dangerously slippery in several provinces of the country during the night and morning hours.

Yellow alerts are in effect in parts of Poland IMGW against icing. They were issued in the following provinces:

Lubuskiein the central zone of the voivodship;

Greater Polandin central poviats;

Kuyavian-Pomeranianin the districts of Mogilno, Radziejów, Włocławek and Wloclawek;

Lodzin almost the entire voivodeship, with the exception of poviats on the southern borders;

mazowieckiein the belt of central poviats;

Podlaskiein the poviats: Wysokie Mazowieckie, Bielski, Hajnowski and Siemiatycze;

Lublinin the counties: Łuków, Radzyń, White PodlaskaBiała, Włodawa, Lubartów and Puławy.

Wet surfaces of roads and pavements are forecast to freeze after rain, sleet and wet snow, causing them to become icy. The minimum temperature will be around -1 degrees Celsius, and the minimum temperature at the ground will be around -2 degrees Celsius.

The warnings will go into effect at 11 p.m. Wednesday and expire at 1 p.m. 8 on Thursday.


What is the first degree IMGW meteorological warning

The first degree warning provides for conditions conducive to the occurrence of dangerous meteorological phenomena that may cause material damage and threat to health and life. Running a business in conditions of exposure to these factors is difficult and dangerous. Expect difficulties resulting from activities in the area where the threat occurs, including delays caused by traffic obstructions, disruptions in the course of outdoor events or the possibility of their cancellation. Caution recommended, the need to follow messages and weather developments.
