There will be strong winds in parts of Poland on Saturday. IMGW warns of gusts up to 75 kilometers per hour in the morning on the coast. In the next hours, dangerously strong winds are also possible in other regions.

Forecasters from the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management have issued first degree meteorological warnings and a forecast of weather threats for the coming days.

First degree warnings against strong winds are in force in the following provinces:

Pomeranianin the counties: Słupsk, SlupskWejherowo, Puck, Lębork;

West Pomeranianin the districts of: Kamień, ŚwinoujścieGryfice, Kołobrzeg, Koszalin, Koszalin.

Strong winds with an average speed of 30 to 40 km/h, gusts up to 75 km/h, from the south-west are forecast.

The warnings in West Pomerania will be valid until 7 am on Saturday, and in Pomerania they will expire at 7 pm. 9 on the same day.

During the day it may blow strongly over a larger area of ​​Poland. IMGW plans to issue first-level alerts in the following provinces: Pomeranian, West Pomeranian, warmińsko-mazurskie (in north-western counties), Greater Poland, Lubuskie, Lodz, Lower Silesia, Opole and in the districts located in the south of the province Silesian, Lesser Poland and Subcarpathian.

Sunday in part of the country also promises to be windy. First degree warnings may appear in the following provinces: Pomeranian, West Pomeranian, Lubuskie (in the north of the region), Greater Poland (except southern poviats), Lodz, Opole, Lower Silesia (in poviats located in the south), Silesian (in the south of the region), Lesser Poland (in southern poviats), Subcarpathian (in poviats located in the south).

For Monday, IMGW forecasters do not forecast weather-related dangers. But on Tuesday, heavy snowfall alerts may be issued across provinces Subcarpathian (in southern counties) and Silesian (in southern counties).
