IMGW alerts. Strong wind on New Year’s Day. Where warnings apply

IMGW has issued first degree warnings against strong winds, which can gust up to 80 kilometers per hour. A storm is possible in the eastern part of the coastal zone. Check where the aura will be dangerous.

Forecasters from the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management issued first degree meteorological warnings.

Yellow alerts IMGW against strong winds apply in the following provinces:

Pomeranian, in poviats located in the north of the region, where they will be valid from 9 p.m. on Saturday to 9 am on Sunday;

West Pomeranian, in northern poviats, where they will apply from 6 p.m. on Saturday to 8 am on Sunday;

Strong winds with an average speed of 30 to 45 kilometers per hour, gusts up to 75-80 km/h, from the south and south-west are forecast.

What is the first degree IMGW meteorological warning

The first degree warning provides for conditions conducive to the occurrence of dangerous meteorological phenomena that may cause material damage and threat to health and life. Running a business in conditions of exposure to these factors is difficult and dangerous. Expect difficulties resulting from activities in the area where the threat occurs, including delays caused by traffic obstructions, disruptions in the course of outdoor events or the possibility of their cancellation. Caution recommended, the need to follow messages and weather developments.
