IMGW warns against strong winds. Forecasters predict gusts of up to 80 kilometers per hour. Check where the first level alarms apply.

Forecasters of the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management (IMGW) issued first level alerts and a forecast of meteorological hazards.

IMGW alerts – strong wind

IMGW yellow alerts against strong winds have been issued in the following provinces:

West Pomeranianin poviats: ŚwinoujścieKamień, Gryfice, Kołobrzeg, Koszalin and Sławno;

Pomeranianin the counties of Słupsk, Lębork, Wejherowo and Puck.

On the coast, strong winds with an average speed of up to 50 km/h are forecast, with periods of up to 60 km/h and gusts up to 70 km/h, and periods of up to 80 km/h, blowing from the west and south-west.

Alerts will expire on Monday at 1pm.

What is a Level 1 weather warning?

According to the IMWM definition, a first degree warning provides for conditions conducive to the occurrence of dangerous meteorological phenomena that may cause material losses and threat to health and life.
