Meteorological alerts of the IMGW issued the first degree meteorological alerts. There will be places where lightning strikes will be felt. Dangerous downpours are forecast in other regions. Check where warnings apply.

Forecasters of the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management (IMGW) issued first degree weather warnings.

IMGW alerts of the first degree – heavy rainfall

Forecasters warn of heavy rain in the following provinces:

mazowieckiein the counties: Lipski, Zwoleń, Radom, RadomSzydłowiecki, Przysucha, Białobrzegi, Kozienice, Garwolin, Łuków, Siedlce, Siedlce and Łosicki;

Subcarpathianin the following counties: Niżański, Stalowowolski, Tarnobrzeg, Tarnobrzeg, Kolbuszów, Mielec, Dąbrowski, Dębicki, and Ropczyce-Sędziszów;

Silesianin the southern and eastern counties.

Moderate rainfall is forecast, with periods of heavy rainfall totaling up to 30-40 liters per square meter. Locally, rainfall may be accompanied by light rain storms.

In Silesia and in the western districts of the province Lesser Poland alerts will be valid from 11 a.m. on Tuesday until 2 on Wednesday. In other regions, it will be dangerous from 5 p.m. on Tuesday until 6 on Wednesday.

IMGW alerts of the first degree – thunderstorms

In turn, in the north-west of the country, thunderstorms will become a threat. Warnings against them apply to the following provinces:

Pomeranianexcept for counties in the east;

Kuyavian-Pomeranianin the counties: Tuchola, Świecie, Bydgoszcz, BydgoszczNakielski and Żnin;

Greater Polandin northern poviats;

Thunderstorms are forecast, which in places will be accompanied by heavy rainfall up to about 20 l / sq m. and wind gusts up to 60 kilometers per hour.

The warnings will be in effect between 12 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday.

What is the first degree IMGW meteorological warning?

The first degree warning provides for conditions conducive to the occurrence of dangerous meteorological phenomena that may cause material damage and threat to health and life. Running a business in conditions of exposure to these factors is difficult and dangerous. Expect difficulties resulting from activities in the area where the threat occurs, including delays caused by traffic obstructions, disruptions in the course of outdoor events or the possibility of their cancellation. Caution recommended, the need to follow messages and weather developments.
