IMGW warns of thunderstorms with hail and downpours. Heavy rainfall and strong gusts of wind are forecast. First and second level alarms apply.
Forecasters of the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management (IMGW) issued first and second degree weather warnings.
IMGW alerts of the second degree – thunderstorms with hail
Level 2 alerts for thunderstorms with hail are in effect in the following provinces:
– West Pomeranianin Szczecinek County,
– Pomeranianin the Człuchów district;
– Greater Polandin the district of Złotów.
Thunderstorms are forecast, which in places will be accompanied by very heavy rainfall with a total of 35-50 liters of water per square meter and wind gusts of up to 60 kilometers per hour. Hail will appear in places.
The warnings will remain in effect until 8 p.m. Saturday.

IMGW alerts of the first degree – thunderstorms with hail
First degree hail storm alerts are in effect in the following provinces:
– Opole (in southern counties);
– Lower Silesia (excluding north-eastern poviats);
– West Pomeranian (except coastal poviats);
– Greater Poland (in northern counties);
– Pomeranian (excluding coastal and eastern poviats);
– Kuyavian-Pomeranian (except eastern poviats).
Thunderstorms are forecast, which in places will be accompanied by heavy rainfall with a total of 20-30 l / sq m. and wind gusts up to 65 km/h. Hail will fall in places.
Alerts will be valid from 12-8pm on Saturday.
IMGW alerts of the first degree – heavy rainfall
The IMGW also warns of heavy rainfall. Alerts against this weather threat have been issued in the following provinces:
– warmińsko-mazurskie (in poviats located in the east of the region);
– mazowieckie (in north-eastern counties).
Rainfall of moderate intensity is forecast, with strong periods of 30-45 l/sqm in total. The alerts will be valid until 8 p.m. on Saturday.

The second degree warning predicts the occurrence of dangerous meteorological phenomena causing large material losses and a threat to health and life. Dangerous phenomena or the effects of their occurrence strongly limit the conduct of business. Expect disruptions in daily functioning. Great caution is recommended, the need to follow messages and the development of the weather situation. Follow all instructions issued by the emergency services in an emergency. Adapt your plans to weather conditions.

The first degree warning provides for conditions conducive to the occurrence of dangerous meteorological phenomena that may cause material damage and threat to health and life.
