The weather in the next few hours will be dangerous in many places in Poland. The Institute of Meteorology and Water Management announced warnings against thunderstorms with hail, during which the wind is expected to speed up to 120 kilometers per hour. Whirlwinds are possible. IMGW in part of the country also warns against heat.

Forecasters from the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management (IMGW) issued third, second and first degree meteorological warnings. In a large part of the country an RCB alert is also in effect.

IMGW alerts of the third degree – thunderstorms with hail

Thunderstorm warnings with the highest degree of third hail have been issued for the following provinces:

Subcarpathianfor poviats: Kłodzko and Ząbkowice;

Greater Polandfor the counties: Kępiński, Wieruszów, Wieluń, Sieradz;

of Lodzoutside the following poviats: Poddębice, Łęczyca, Kutno;

Lesser Polandfor the poviats: proszowicki, miechowski, krakowski, CracowOlkusz, Chrzanów, Oświęcim, Wadowice, Suski;

Lublinfor the north-eastern part of the voivodeship;

mazowieckiewith the exception of the north-western part of the voivodeship.

Thunderstorms are forecast, which in some places will be accompanied by heavy rainfall up to 70 liters of water per square meter and wind gusts up to 120 kilometers per hour. Hail will fall in places. hail. Whirlwinds are possible.

In Wielkopolska, Lower Silesia, Opole, Silesia and Lesser Poland, the warnings will be valid from 11 pm on Saturday to 11 pm. 7 on Sunday, while in the Łódź region, Mazovia, Świętokrzyska region and the Lublin region, they will apply from 3-11 on Sunday.

Second degree hail storm warnings have been issued for the following provinces:

Lower Silesiafor poviats: Kamienna Góra, Wałbrzych, WałbrzychDzierżoniów, Strzelin, Oława, Wrocław, WroclawŚwidnica, Średzki, Trzebnica, Milicz, Oleśnicki;

Greater Polandfor the districts: Ostrzeszów, Ostrowski, Kalisz, KaliszTurkish;

of Lodzfor the following poviats: Poddębice, Łęczyca, Kutno;

mazowieckiefor the counties of Płock, Płock, Płoński, Ciechanów, and Maków;

Lesser Polandfor the entire voivodship, with the exception of poviats covered by third-level alerts;

Subcarpathianoutside the districts: Sanok, Lesko, Bieszczady, Przemyśl, IndustryJarosław, Przeworsk, Lubaczów;

In these places, thunderstorms are predicted, which will be accompanied by very heavy rainfall from 40 to 55 l / sq m. and wind gusts up to 115 km/h. Hail will fall in some places. Whirlwinds are possible.

In Lower Silesia and Lesser Poland, the warnings will be valid from 23 on Saturday until 7 on Sunday, in addition, they will come into force at 3 on Sunday and will expire at 11 on the same day.

IMGW alerts of the first degree – thunderstorms with hail

Lowest level hail storm warnings have been issued for the province Podlaskiefor the poviats: Wysokie Mazowiecki, Bielsko, Siemiatycze and Hajnowski.

Storms are forecast there, which in some places will be accompanied by rainfall from 20 to 30 l / sq m. and wind gusts up to 75 km/h. There will also be some hail in places.

Warnings will be valid at 6-12 on Sunday.

Forecasters also warn of heat. Second degree warnings cover the following voivodships:

Subcarpathianoutside the counties: Bieszczady, Lesko, Sanok, Krosno and Krosno;

Lesser Polandoutside the following counties: Tatra, Oświęcim, Chrzanów and Olkuski;

Świętokrzyskieoutside the counties: Włoszczowa and Końskie;

Masoviancounties: Łosicki, Siedlce, Siedlce, Minsk, Garwolin, Kozienicki, Radom, Radom, Zwoleń, Lipski, Szydlowiec.

The maximum temperature during the day will range from 30 to 33 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature at night will range from 17 to 19 degrees Celsius, in places around 20 degrees Celsius.

The warnings will end at 20 on Sunday.
