First degree IMWM alerts against hailstorms may be issued in the following voivodeships:
There may be storms with rainfall of 20-30 liters of water per square meter, locally up to 40 l / sq m, or gusts of 70-90 km / h. Hail may occur locally.
First degree IMGW alerts – storms
IMWM also provides for the possibility of issuing first degree alerts before storms in voivodships Greater Poland and Łódź Province.
Storms with rainfall from 20 to 30 l / sq m, locally up to 40 l / sq m, or gusts of 70-90 km / h are forecasted.

According to the definition of IMWM, the threat forecast is indicative weather forecastto inform the public early about the possible occurrence of a dangerous meteorological phenomenon.
What is the first degree meteorological warning from the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management
The first level warning provides for conditions conducive to the occurrence of dangerous meteorological phenomena that may cause material damage and threat to health and life. Conducting activities in conditions of exposure to these factors is difficult and dangerous. Expect difficulties resulting from carrying out activities in the area of risk, including delays caused by road traffic obstructions, disruptions in the course of outdoor events or the possibility of their cancellation.
