The water level in the area of Żuławy and the Vistula Lagoon may rise to the warning level. The Institute of Meteorology and Water Management issued first degree alerts.
“Due to the forecast strong, stormy wind from the north-west in the Vistula Lagoon and Żuławy (voivodship Pomeranian and Warmia-Masuria Province) “increases in water levels to the zone of high states are expected, locally with the possibility of reaching warning states” – it was written in the statement of the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management.
Level 1 warnings will expire at 10am on Saturday.
What is the first degree hydrological alarm
The first level of the hydrological alert is moderate. It is issued when the water levels (observed or forecasted) are in the zone below the warning levels, and a rapid increase in the water level is expected.
