The Institute of Meteorology and Water Management has issued a second-degree warning for western Poland in the heat (they will remain valid until Thursday). On Tuesday, the temperature in this region exceeded 32 degrees Celsius. In the east and in the center, first-degree warnings were issued (these will remain valid until at least Wednesday). – In this area, the temperature will rise above 30 degrees, but at night the temperature will not exceed 18 degrees – commented weather forecaster Grażyna DÄ…browska.

Heat Warnings and Tropical Nights Tuesday and Wednesday

New weather warning IMWM. It is predicted heatwave. Temperature maximum during the day from 30 to 33 degrees Celsius. Minimum temperature at night from 15 to 17 degrees Celsius” – IMGW reported on the platform on September 3 X. Temperatures above 30 degrees will remain in Poland until at least Wednesday, September 4. On Thursday, it will be warmest primarily in the west – from 25 to 29 degrees Celsius.

The night from Tuesday to Wednesday in the west of the country is to be described as tropical, because the temperature there will be from 18 to 20 degrees Celsius. In the rest of the country, thermometers at night will show from 13 to 16 degrees Celsius.

The Institute reminded us that during hot weather we must remember to cover windows, drink fluids frequently and use fans or air conditioning. It is also recommended to refrain from eating heavy meals and take quick, refreshing showers to reduce fatigue.

As the temperature and humidity rise, the chances of overheating also increase. Remember that the first signs of heatstroke include, among others, dry mouth, headaches and dizziness, disorientation and loss of coordination, increased respiratory rate, faster heartbeat, and muscle weakness and cramps.
