IMGW warnings about heat in almost all of Poland. Temperatures will exceed 30 degrees Celsius today.

IMGW has issued first-degree heat warnings. The maximum temperature during the day may reach 32 degrees Celsius. Almost the entire country has been covered by the alerts.

Institute of Meteorology and Water Management (IMWM) issued first-degree warnings on a three-point, ascending scale.

First degree IMWM warnings – heat

First-degree high temperature warnings have been issued for the following provinces:

  • West Pomeranianwhere they will be in force from 1pm to 6pm on Thursday;
  • Pomeranianwhere they will be in force from 1pm to 6pm on Thursday;
  • lubuskiewhere they will be in force from 1 p.m. on Thursday to 6 p.m. on Friday;
  • Greater Polandwhere they will be in force from 1 p.m. on Thursday to 6 p.m. on Friday;
  • Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeshipwhere they will be in force from 1 p.m. on Thursday to 6 p.m. on Friday;
  • Lower Silesiawhere they will be in force from 1 p.m. on Thursday to 6 p.m. on Friday;
  • Warmia-Masuriawhere they will be in force from 1 p.m. on Thursday to 6 p.m. on Friday;
  • Podlaskiewhere they will be in force from 1 p.m. on Thursday to 6 p.m. on Friday;
  • Masovianwhere they will be in force from 1 p.m. on Thursday to 6 p.m. on Saturday;
  • Lodzwhere they will be in force from 1 p.m. on Thursday to 6 p.m. on Saturday;
  • Lublinwhere they will be in force from 1 p.m. on Thursday to 6 p.m. on Saturday;
  • Opolewhere they will be in force until 6 p.m. on Saturday;
  • Silesianwhere they will be in force until 6 p.m. on Saturday;
  • Lesser Polandexcept for the Tatra district. The alarms will be in force until 6 p.m. on Saturday;
  • Świętokrzyskiewhere warnings will remain in force until 6pm on Friday;
  • Subcarpathianwhere they will be in force until 6 p.m. on Friday.

The maximum temperature during the day can range from 29 to 32 degrees Celsius. At night, the thermometers will show a minimum of 16 to 18 degrees Celsius.

What is the first-degree IMWM meteorological warning?

First-degree warning predicts conditions conducive to the occurrence of dangerous meteorological phenomena that may cause material losses and threaten health and life.
