IMGW issued meteorological warnings against storms. In a part of the country it will be dangerous until late at night. Alarms also apply to heavy rainfall in southern Poland.
Synoptics of the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management (IMGW) They issued first degree warnings.
First degree IMGW warnings – storms
Alarms before storms issued for voivodships:
- Warmian-Masurian Voivodeshipoutside Western poviats;
- Opoleoutside the northwestern poviats;
- Silesianin the following poviats: Gliwice, Tarnogórski, Lubliniecki, Częstochowa, CzęstochowaKłobuckim;
- Łódźfor the East and the center of the region;
- Mazowieckieoutside the west, south and east of the province;
- Podlasiein the northern poviats.
Storms are forecasted in these regions, which will be accompanied by stronger rainfall from 15 to 25 l/sq m. Hail and wind gusts up to about 70 km/h will occur locally.
Recent warnings will expire at midnight.
First degree IMGW warnings – heavy rainfall
Yellow warnings against heavy rainfall were issued in voivodships: Lower Silesia (Kłodzko and Ząbkowice poviats) and Opole (poviats: Nyski, Prudnicki, Głubczycki, Kędzierzyn-Kozielski).
Moderate rainfall is forecast there, strong periods. Forecast rainfall from 20 to 30 l/sq m.
Alarms will be valid on Thursday from 6-18.

The first degree warning provides for conditions conducive to the occurrence of dangerous meteorological phenomena that can cause material losses and a threat to health and life. Conducting activities in conditions of exposure to these factors is difficult and dangerous. Expect difficulties resulting from conducting activities in the area of threat, including delays caused by traffic difficulties, disturbances in outdoor events or the possibility of their dismissal. Recommended caution, the need to track messages and the development of the weather situation.
