IMWM warns about freezing precipitation in half of the country. Black ice is possible on the roads on the night from Friday to Saturday and on Saturday. Check where warnings apply.

Forecasters from the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management (IMWM) issued level 1 warnings.

IMWM alerts – freezing precipitation

First-degree IMWM alerts related to freezing precipitation are valid in the following voivodeships:

  • West Pomeranian Voivodeship;
  • Pomeranian;
  • Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship;
  • Greater Poland;
  • Lubuskie;
  • Lower Silesia;
  • Opole province;
  • Łódźin the following counties: Gostynin, Płock, Płock, Sierpc, Żuromin;
  • Masovian Voivodeshipin the following counties: Wieluń, Wieruszów, Sieradz, Zduńsko Wola, Poddębice, Łęczyca, Kutno.

Freezing rain or drizzle causing black ice is forecast there.

Alerts in Western Pomerania will come into force at 10 p.m. on Friday and will expire at 6 the next day, in Lower Silesia and the northern half of the province. Greater Poland Voivodeship will be valid from midnight to 10 on Saturday, while in other places they will be valid from 10-20 on Saturday.
