Forecasters from the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management issued warnings and threat forecasts.

First stage alarms before storms hail was reported in the voivodeship West Pomeranian Voivodeshipin all counties except those located in the southeast of the region.

Phenomena are forecasted to be accompanied by heavy rainfall in places with a total of 15-25 liters of water per square meter and wind gusts of up to 70 kilometers per hour. There will be hail in places. Alerts IMWM will be valid from 4 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Wednesday.

In the following hours, further IMWM storm alerts may be announced. It is possible that in almost the entire country. Violent phenomena are not forecast only for the Podlaskie Voivodeship, the eastern counties of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship and the southern counties of the Lesser Poland Voivodeship.

First degree heat warnings apply in the following voivodeships:

– Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeshipin central and eastern counties;

– Greater Polandin eastern counties;

– Opole provinceoutside southern counties;

– Masovian Voivodeshipexcept for eastern counties;

– Świętokrzyskiein counties located in the west of the region;

– Silesianexcept for the Żywiec poviat;

– Lesser Polandin the following counties: Miechowski, Olkusz, Proszowice, Kraków, CracowChrzanów, Oświęcim, Wadowice, Myślenice, Wieliczka, Bochnia.

The maximum temperature during the day will range from 28 to 31 degrees Celsius, and the minimum temperature at night will range from 13 to 16 degrees Celsius. Warnings will be valid until 6 p.m. on Wednesday.

Forecasters on Thursday no longer predict hot weather. Dangerous phenomena may appear in the south of the country.

Level 1 alerts related to heavy rain and thunderstorms will probably apply to the southern counties of the province. Silesia, Lesser Poland and Podkarpackie.

The first level warning provides for conditions conducive to the occurrence of dangerous meteorological phenomena that may cause material losses and pose a threat to health and life. Conducting business in conditions of exposure to these factors is difficult and dangerous. Expect difficulties resulting from carrying out activities in the hazardous area, including delays caused by traffic disruptions, disruptions to outdoor events or the possibility of their cancellation.
