IMWM issued first degree warnings against storms. The phenomena will be accompanied by strong winds, which may gust up to 65 kilometers per hour. There is also a threat forecast. Check where the weather will be dangerous.

Forecasters from the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management (IMWM) have issued Level 1 storm warnings. There is also a threat forecast.

First degree IMWM alerts – storms

First-degree storm alerts have been issued in the following provinces:

Podkarpackiein the following counties: Bieszczady, Lesko, Sanok, Brzozowski, Krosno, loomJasielski;

Lesser Polandin the following counties: Gorlice, Nowy Sącz, Nowy Sacz.

Storms are forecast, accompanied in places by heavy rainfall of 20 liters of water per square meter and wind gusts of up to 65 kilometers per hour.

The warnings will be valid from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday.

IMWM alerts may cover the following voivodeships: Silesian (counties: Cieszyn, Bielsko, Bielsko-Biala and Żywiec), Lesser Poland (counties: Wadowice, Suski, Nowy Targ, Tatra, Myślenice, Limanowski, Nowy Sącz, Nowy Sącz, Gorlice) and Subcarpathia (counties: Jasło, Krosno, Krosno, Brzozowski, Sanok, Lesko and Bieszczady).

What is the IMWM first degree meteorological warning?

The first degree warning provides for conditions conducive to the occurrence of dangerous meteorological phenomena that may cause material damage and threat to health and life. Running a business in conditions of exposure to these factors is difficult and dangerous. Expect difficulties resulting from activities in the area where the threat occurs, including delays caused by traffic obstructions, disruptions in the course of outdoor events or the possibility of their cancellation. Caution recommended, the need to follow messages and weather developments.

According to the IMGW definition, the threat forecast is indicative weather forecastserving to inform the public early about the possibility of a dangerous meteorological phenomenon.
