IMWM issued meteorological alerts. In parts of the country, strong winds will pose a threat throughout the day, gusting to 85 kilometers per hour. There are also warnings against snowmelt and a threat forecast.

Forecasters from the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management issued first-degree warnings and a threat forecast.

IMWM alerts of the first degree – strong wind

IMWM alerts of the lowest first degree against strong winds are valid in the voivodeship West Pomeranian Voivodeshipin the following poviats: Koszalin, KoszalinSławieński, and Pomeranianin the following counties: Słupsk, SłupskLębork, Wejherowo, Puck.

Strong westerly winds with an average speed of up to 60 kilometers per hour and gusts of up to 85 km/h are forecast. The alerts will expire on Monday at 6.

First degree IMWM alerts – snowmelt

In some parts of the country, snowmelt may be a danger. Yellow alerts are valid in the voivodeship Lower Silesiain the following counties: Kłodzko, Lwówek, Karkonosze, Jelenia Góra and Kamienna Góra.

In areas above 1,000 meters above sea level, an increase in air temperature is forecast, causing thaw and melting of the snow cover. It will rise to 6-9 degrees Celsius during the day and will remain “in plus” at least until Tuesday evening. The warnings will expire at midnight on Monday.

Threat forecast for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday

On Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, IMWM forecasters plan to issue further alerts for snowmelt and strong winds.

Strong wind warnings for the above three days should be expected in the province. West Pomeranian Voivodeship in the following counties: Świnoujście, ŚwinoujścieGryfice, Kamieński, Kołobrzeg, Koszalin, Koszalin and Sławieński as well as in the voivodeship. Pomeranianin the following voivodeships: Słupsk, Słupsk, Lębork, Wejherowo, Puck, Gdynia, Sopot, Gdańsk, Nowy Dwór.

Snowmelt alerts are expected in the province. Podkarpackie in the following counties: Bieszczady, Lesko, Sanok, Krosno and Jasło, Lesser Poland in the following counties: Gorlice, Nowy Sącz, Nowy Targ, Tatra and Sucha, as well as Silesian in the Żywiec and Cieszyn counties.
