There is strong wind in Poland on Saturday. Over the next hours, winds may gust up to 110 kilometers per hour in parts of the country. Second and first level alerts issued by the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management apply.
As reported by the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management on Saturday before 6 a.m., “wind gusts of approximately 90 kilometers per hour occur in coastal counties.” Between 2 a.m. and 5 a.m., the strongest wind gusts occurred Łebaup to 90 km/h.
“In the next hours, winds with an average speed of 45 km/h to 60 km/h, with gusts up to 100 km/h and in places up to 110 km/h, are still expected from the west,” it was reported on social media. The wind will start to decrease after 13.

Second level warnings apply in the following voivodeships:
– West Pomeranian Voivodeshipin counties: ŚwinoujścieKamieński, Gryfice, Kołobrzeg, Koszalin, KoszalinSławno;
Strong winds with an average speed of up to 50 kilometers per hour and gusts from 75 km/h to 95 km/h are expected. During the second part of the night from Friday to Saturday, a temporary increase in gusts up to 110 km/h from the west and north-west was forecast.
Alerts in Western Pomerania will expire at 2 p.m. on Saturday, while in the Pomerania region they will be valid until 17 on the same day.
IMWM alerts of the first degree – strong wind
Level 1 warnings have been issued for many regions due to strong winds. They are valid in the following voivodeships:
– Pomeranian and West Pomeranian Voivodeshipoutside poviats covered by higher level alerts;
– Greater Polandin the following counties: Złotów, Piła, Konin, Konin, Koło, Turek;
– Świętokrzyskiein the following counties: Opatów, Ostrowiec, Starachowice, Kielce, Kielce, Skarżyński, Konecki, Włoszczowa;
– Silesianin the following counties: Częstochowa, Częstochowa, Kłobuck.
Strong winds with an average speed of up to 35-40 km/h, gusts up to 80-85 km/h, from the west are expected in these places.
In Western Pomerania, Pomerania and the north-western part of Warmia and Mazury, alerts will expire at 12 on Saturday, in Wielkopolska and Kujawy they will be valid until 14 on Saturday, in the north-eastern corners of the province. Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship will expire at 4 p.m. on the same day, in the Łódź region and in Silesia, they will be valid until 3 p.m., and in other regions until 17 on Saturday.
