Forecasters from the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management (IMGW) issued first-degree warnings against strong winds on a three-level increasing scale.

First degree warnings due to strong winds have been issued for the following voivodeships: – Pomeranianfor poviats: SÅ‚upsk, SÅ‚upskLÄ™bork, Wejherowo, Puck, GdyniaSopot, GdaÅ„sk, GdaÅ„skNowy Dwór;
– Warmian-Masurian Voivodeshipfor poviats: ElblÄ…g, ElblÄ…gBraniewo, Lidzbark, Bartoszycki, KÄ™trzyn, WÄ™gorzewo, Giżycko, GoÅ‚dap, Olecki;
– Podlasiefor poviats: SuwaÅ‚ki, SuwaÅ‚kiSejny, Augustów, Sokółka.
In these regions, strong winds with an average speed of up to 40 kilometers per hour and gusts of up to 85 km/h are expected from the north-west.
In Pomerania, alerts will be valid until 5 p.m. on Sunday. In Warmia and Mazury, they will usually be in force from 12 to 17 on Sunday. At 14-18 will apply in the province. Podlaskie and two counties in the province. Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship: Gołdap and Olecki.
