Water levels are still high in Polish rivers. On Thursday, near Przegalina in Gdańsk Pomerania, the Vistula waves flowed next to the riverbed, and the situation was constantly monitored. Hydrological alerts are in force.

According to the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management, on Thursday Polish rivers were mainly in the high and medium water zone. The alarm level was exceeded at 10 hydrological stations in the basin Vistula, 19 in the Oder basin and 1 hydrological station in the Przymorze river basin. Exceeding the warning level was recorded at 106 stations throughout the country.

“The situation must be monitored”

As TVN24 reporter Adam Krajewski reported, in Przegalin – a district Gdańsk located on Sobieszewska Island – on the last section of its course, the Vistula River clearly left its bed. The situation does not improve by the fact that it is still raining in Pomerania on Thursday.

– For now, the water is contained between the embankments – the reporter explained. – Apart from the Vistula, other rivers have very high water levels, so the situation must be monitored.
