Water levels remain high in many Polish rivers, including the Bug in the Masovian Voivodeship. There, and not only, there are warnings against floods exceeding the alarm and warning levels.

For several days, the water level on the Bug River in the Masovian Voivodeship has been dangerously high. According to the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management, on Wednesday at 8 a.m. the water level remained above the alarm level at the hydrological stations in Wyszków (531 centimeters) and Popowo (406 cm). In Wyszków, the water level was slowly falling, but no clear trend was noted on the profile in Popowo.

On Tuesday, the waters of the Bug and its left tributary, Fiszor, spilled into the areas of coastal towns. The village of Młynarze was cut off from the rest of the commune when the road leading to it was flooded for 800 meters.

The third level of hydrological warnings, warning against floods exceeding the alarm levels, is in force in the catchments in the following voivodeships: Masovian Voivodeship (on the Bug and Pilica from Zb. Sulejów), Lublin Province (on Krzna and Huczwa) i Lower Silesia (in Widawa). Alerts will be valid until 10 or 11 on Wednesday.

Second-degree flood alerts with exceeding warning levels apply to catchments in the following voivodeships: Lublin Province (section of the Wieprz from the Nielisz reservoir to the mouth of the Bystrzyca, section of the Bug to the mouth of the Uherka), Masovian Voivodeship (Vistula from the mouth of the Narew River to Zb. Włocławek), Podlasie (Biebrza), Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship (Pasłęka from Wałsza to the mouth), Pomeranian (Roadstead), West Pomeranian Voivodeship (Parsęta from Radew to the mouth), Lubuskie (Oder from the mouth of the Barycz to the mouth of the Bóbr, Warta dolna from the Noteć to the mouth), Łódź (Ner). The warnings will begin to expire at 11 on Wednesday, and the last ones will expire at 12 on Thursday.
