High water levels occur on the Bug River in the Masovian Voivodeship, and the alarm levels are exceeded at some stations. IMWM also warns against floods – in several catchments in the country there is a warning against possible exceedance of the alarm levels.
The water level on the Bug River in the Masovian Voivodeship has been high for several days. The most difficult situation is in the vicinity of the Młynarze village in the Zabrodzie commune. On Saturday, the commune authorities published a flood warning, urging residents to leave the endangered area.
According to the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management, on Tuesday at 5 a.m. the water level remained above the alarm level at the hydrological stations in Wyszków (519 centimeters) and Popowo (401 cm). The water level at both points remained unchanged.
IMWM hydrological warnings
The third level of hydrological warnings, warning against floods exceeding the alarm levels, is in force on Tuesday in the catchments in the following voivodeships: Masovian Voivodeship (on the Bug and Pilica from Zb. Sulejów), Lublin Province (on Krzna) i Świętokrzyskie (on the Nida from the mouth of Czarna Nida to the mouth of Vistula), as well as in Widawa in the province Lower Silesia, Opole province and Greater Poland.
Alerts will begin to expire on Tuesday at 10 a.m., and the last ones should be canceled by Wednesday. 10
Second-degree flood alerts with exceeding warning levels apply to catchments in the following voivodeships: Lublin Province (Huczwa, section of the Wieprz from the Nielisz reservoir to the mouth of the Bystrzyca, section of the Bug to the mouth of the Uherka), Masovian Voivodeship (Wkra, Wisła from the mouth of the Narew to Zb. Włocławek), Podlasie (Biebrza), Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship (Pasłęka from Wałsza to the mouth), Pomeranian (Roadstead, ŁebaSłupia from Skotawa to the mouth), West Pomeranian Voivodeship (Parsęta from Radew to the mouth), Lubuskie (Oder from the mouth of the Barycz River to the mouth of the Bóbr River, Warta Dolna from the Noteć River to the mouth).
Warnings will begin to expire on Tuesday at 12 noon, and the last ones should be canceled by Thursday at 12 noon. 12.
