IMWM warns about storms. Forecasters issued level 1 warnings against this phenomenon for Saturday. There may be hail in places. There is also a threat forecast for the following days.

The Institute of Meteorology and Water Management issued warnings and forecasts of weather threats for the following days.

IMWM meteorological warnings – storms

First-degree storm warnings are in force in the following voivodeships:

  • Lubuskiein the following counties: Żary and Żagań;
  • Lower Silesia(except counties bordering the Greater Poland Voivodeship);
  • Opole provincein the southern half of the voivodeship;
  • Silesianin the southern half of the region;
  • Lesser Polandin the southern part of the voivodeship.

According to forecasters, storms are forecast, accompanied in places by heavy rainfall of up to about 20 liters of water per square meter and wind gusts of up to 65 kilometers per hour. Hail is possible.

The warnings will be in force from 12 noon to 8 p.m. on Saturday.

In addition to the existing warnings, there may be frost warnings on Saturday in the following voivodeships: Pomeranian (in eastern counties), Podlasie, Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, Masovian Voivodeship (in north-eastern counties), Lublin Province (in north-eastern counties).

There may also be frost in parts of the country on Sunday. Frost warnings may appear in the following voivodeships: Podlasie, Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship (in southern counties), Masovian Voivodeship (outside western counties), Lublin Province (outside southern counties), Lesser Poland (in southern counties) i Podkarpackie (in southern counties).
