IMWM issued a forecast of meteorological threats. It shows that the beginning of the week will bring strong wind gusts in parts of the country. Check where the weather may be dangerous.

During the weekend, the weather in Poland will be shaped by low pressure and related atmospheric fronts. Moist, but quite warm, as at the end of October, polar sea air will flow into the country.

The beginning of the week may bring strong winds to the southern regions of Poland. The Institute of Meteorology and Water Management issued a threat forecast for Monday and Tuesday.

IMWM plans to issue first-degree warnings on Monday and Tuesday against strong winds in the following voivodeships:

Silesianin the following counties: Żywiec, Cieszyn, Bielsko, Bielsko-Biala;

Lesser Polandin the following counties: Tatra, Nowy Targ, Sucha, Wadowice, Nowy Sącz, Nowy SączLimanowskie, Myślenice, Gorlice;

Podkarpackiein the following counties: Jasło, Krosno, loom., Sanok, Brzozowski, Lesko, Bieszczady.

What is the IMWM first degree meteorological warning?

The first level warning provides for conditions conducive to the occurrence of dangerous meteorological phenomena that may cause material losses and pose a threat to health and life. Conducting business in conditions of exposure to these factors is difficult and dangerous. Expect difficulties resulting from carrying out activities in the hazardous area, including delays caused by traffic disruptions, disruptions to outdoor events or the possibility of their cancellation. Caution is recommended, the need to follow messages and developments in the weather situation.

According to the IMWM definition, the threat forecast is indicative weather forecastused to provide early information to the public about the possibility of a dangerous meteorological phenomenon.
