Strong winds are forecast in these regions with an average speed of 50 kilometers per hour and gusts up to 80 km/h. Whereas first degree warning for heavy snowfall until Monday at 3 apply parts of the province Silesian (Żywiec, Bielsk and Cieszyn counties). Here, in turn, snowfall is forecast, causing an increase in snow cover in some places 15-20 cm.
Weather for Sunday: Last night the lowest minimum temperature was recorded in Zakopane (-7 degrees Celsius), and the highest one in Świnoujście (1.2 degrees Celsius). However, during the day there will be occasional showers and sleet. They may occur temporarily freezing precipitation. Temperature the maximum will be from 1 degree C in the east of Poland up to 5 degrees C at the seaside.
IMWM on the weather for the holidays: “We have been following the numerical forecasts of the GFS model for several days. Each subsequent update brings a different Christmas scenarioand the results change virtually every few hours. Therefore, final forecasts are still to be made too early. It will be a little warmer: On Monday, the maximum temperature will be from 7 to 9 degrees C. Strong temperature fluctuations are forecast in the following days. Thermometers will show during the day from 1 to even 13 degrees C. There will be light rain or sleet in places.
