Forecasters from the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management (IMGW) have issued second-degree meteorological warnings on a three-point, ascending scale.
IMWM warnings of the second degree – heat
Orange heat alerts have been issued for the following provinces:
- West Pomeranian, excluding the Sławno district;
- Pomeranianin the counties of Bytów, Chojnice, Człuchów;
- Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeshipfor the following counties: Tuchola, Sępolno, Bydgoszcz, BydgoszczNakło, Żnin, Inowrocław, Mogilno;
- lubuskie;
- Greater Poland;
- Lower Silesiaexcluding the following counties: Kłodzko, Wałbrzych, WalbrzychKamienna Góra, Karkonosze, Jelenia GoraLubań and Lwówek;
- Opole;
- Silesianin the districts of Tarnowskie Góry and Gliwice, Gliwice, Zabrze, Bytom, Chorzow, Katowice, TychyPszczyna, Jastrzębie-Zdrój, Wodzisław, Racibórz, Rybnik, RybnikMikołów.
During the day, the maximum temperature may reach 30 to 32 degrees Celsius. The alerts will be in effect until 7 pm on Thursday.

Second degree warning predicts the occurrence of dangerous meteorological phenomena causing large material losses and a threat to health and life. Dangerous phenomena or the effects of their occurrence significantly limit the conduct of business. Expect disruptions in everyday functioning.
