IMGW warns of weather threats. Saturday in part of the country will bring us a continuation of the heat wave – thermometers will show up to 32 degrees Celsius. Storms are also supposed to pass through the country.
The Institute of Meteorology and Water Management issued first and second degree warnings on a three-point, ascending scale.
IMWM warnings of the second degree – heat
Second-degree warnings against scorching heat are in force in the following provinces:
Maximum temperatures during the day will be between 28 and 32 degrees Celsius. The warnings will remain in force until 6 pm on Saturday.
First degree IMWM warnings – heat
Lower-level heat warnings have been issued for the following provinces:
- Lublinfor the southern counties;
- Silesian;, for the following counties: Bieruń-Lędziny, TychyMikołów, JaworznoMyslowice, KatowiceRuda Slaska, Świętochłowice, ChorzowSiemianowice Śląskie, PinewoodDabrowa Gornicza, Bedzin, Piekary Slaskie, Bytom, ZabrzeGliwice, Tarnowskie Góry, Zawiercie, Myszków;
- Lesser Poland, with the exception of the Tatra district;
- Świętokrzyskie;
- Subcarpathian.
In these places, the maximum temperature during the day will be from 29 to 31 degrees Celsius. The warnings will be valid until 6 p.m. on Saturday.

IMGW also announced storms. First-degree warnings apply to the following provinces:

A second-degree warning predicts the occurrence of dangerous meteorological phenomena causing significant material losses and a threat to health and life. Dangerous phenomena or the effects of their occurrence significantly limit the conduct of business. Expect disruptions in everyday functioning. Great caution is recommended, the need to track messages and the development of the weather situation. Follow all recommendations issued by the rescue services in the event of a threat.
