Institute of Meteorology and Water Management (IMWM) issued first and second degree warnings on a three-point, ascending scale.
IMWM warnings of the second degree – heat
A second-degree high temperature warning is in effect in the province Opole. It covered the following counties: Brzesko, Kędzierzyn-Koźle, Krapkowice, Namysłów, Nysa, Olesno, Opole, Prudnik, Strzelce, Opoległubczyce, Kluczbork.
The maximum temperature on Friday will reach 29 to 30 degrees Celsius, and on Saturday and Sunday from 31 to 34 degrees Celsius.
The alerts will go into effect at 12pm on Friday and expire at 7pm on Sunday.
First degree IMWM warnings – heat
First-degree heat warnings are also in effect. They cover the following provinces:
- Lower Silesia (counties: Polkowice, Strzelin, Środa, Trzebnica, Wołów, Ząbkowice, Zgorzelec, Złotoryja, WroclawGłogów, Milicz, Oława, Świdnica, LegnicaBolesławiec, Góra, Jawor, Legnica, Lubań, Lubiń, Lwówek, Oleśnica, Dzierżoniów, Wrocław);
- lubuskie (counties: Gorzów, Krosno, Nowa Sól, Słubice, Sulęcin, Świebodzin, Zielona Góra, Żagań, Żary, Wschowa, Gorzow Wielkopolski, Zielona GóraMiędzyrzecz).
The maximum temperature during the day will be from 30 to 33 degrees Celsius, and the minimum temperature at night from 15 to 17 degrees Celsius.
The alerts will go into effect at 12 noon on Friday and expire at 7 p.m. on Saturday.
