Institute of Meteorology and Water Management (IMWM) issued first and second degree meteorological warnings on a three-level, increasing scale.

IMWM second degree warnings – storms

Second degree warnings ahead storms issued in voivodeships:

  • Lower Silesiain the following counties: Kłodzko, Ząbkowice, Strzelin;
  • Opole province;
  • Silesian;
  • Świętokrzyskie;
  • Lesser Polandin north-western counties;
  • Łódźin southern counties;
  • Masovian Voivodeshipin counties located in the south of the region;
  • Lublin Provincein the following counties: Kraśnik, Lublin, LublinŚwidnica, Opole, Lubartów, Puławy, Rycki.

Storms are forecast in these regions, accompanied by very heavy rainfall in places with a total of 35-50 liters of water per square meter and wind gusts reaching up to 95 kilometers per hour. There will be hail locally.

Warnings in Lower Silesia, Opole and Silesia will be valid from 9 p.m. on Saturday and will expire at 4 on Sunday. In other regions, the warnings will come into force at 23 on Saturday and will expire at 8 on Sunday.

First-degree storm warnings are in force in the following voivodeships:

  • Podkarpackiein poviats not covered by second-degree warnings;
  • Lublin Provinceexcluding poviats subject to higher level warnings;
  • Podlasie;
  • Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship;
  • Masovian Voivodeshipin poviats not covered by second-degree warnings;
  • Lesser Polandin poviats not covered by second-degree warnings;
  • Łódźin northern counties;
  • Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship, where it will be dangerous from Saturday at 8 p.m. to Sunday 3;
  • Pomeranian;
  • Greater Polandin eastern counties;
  • Lower Silesiain the following counties: Milicz, Oleśnica, Oława, WroclawWrocław, Dzierżoniów.

Storms are forecast in these regions, accompanied by heavy rainfall of 20 to 30 l/sq m in some places. and wind gusts up to 85 km/h. There may be hail locally.

Warnings in Pomerania, Kujawy, the Łódź region, Greater Poland and Lower Silesia will be valid until 3 on Sunday. In Warmia and Masuria, Podlasie, Mazovia and Lublin region, the warnings will expire at 10 on Sunday. In Małopolska and Podkarpacie, the alarms will be valid until 8 on Sunday.
