IMWM warnings. Strong and gusty wind

IMWM issued meteorological warnings. In parts of Poland, Thursday will bring strong gusts of wind, sometimes reaching speeds of up to 85 kilometers per hour. It may be dangerous in places until midnight.

The Institute of Meteorology and Water Management issued first-degree warnings on a three-level, increasing scale.

IMWM warnings – strong wind

First-degree strong wind alerts apply in the following voivodeships:

  • Podkarpackiein the following counties: Bieszczady, Lesko, Sanok, Krosno, KrosnoJasielski, where warnings will be valid until 2 p.m. on Thursday;
  • Lesser Polandin the following counties: Sucha, Wadowice, OÅ›wiÄ™cim. It will be dangerous there until Thursday 11;
  • Silesianin the counties: Å»ywiec, Bielsko-BiaÅ‚aBielsko, Cieszyn, Pszczyna, where alarms will be valid until 11 on Thursday;
  • Opole provincein the following poviats: GÅ‚ubczyce, Prudnik, Nysa, where the alarms will expire at midnight on Friday;
  • Lower Silesiain southern counties, where warnings will be valid until midnight on Friday;
  • West Pomeranian Voivodeshipin counties: ÅšwinoujÅ›cieKamieÅ„ski, Gryfice, KoÅ‚obrzeg, Koszalin, SÅ‚awno. There, the alarms will be in force on Thursday at 17-23;
  • Pomeranianin SÅ‚upsk County. It will be dangerous on Thursday at 17-23.

In the south of the country, strong winds with an average speed of up to 40 km/h and gusts of up to 85 km/h are forecast, from the southwest, turning to the west. There will be quite strong and strong winds over the sea with an average speed of up to 45 km/h, gusts up to 75 km/h, north-eastern and northerly.
