IMWM issued meteorological warnings. Monday will bring strong gusts of wind reaching speeds of up to 80 kilometers per hour in parts of the country. Check where to be especially careful.
The Institute of Meteorology and Water Management issued first-degree meteorological warnings on a three-level, increasing scale.
IMWM warnings – strong wind
First degree warnings against strong winds apply in the following voivodeships:
- Lower Silesia (counties: Lwówek, Karkonosze, Jelenia GóraKamienna Góra, Wałbrzych, WałbrzychKłodzko, Ząbkowice). The alerts will expire at 9 p.m. on Monday;
- Opole Province (counties: Nyski, Prudnik, Głubczyce), where it will be dangerous between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. on Monday;
- Lesser Poland (Gorlice district). The warnings are to apply from Monday at 4 p.m. to Tuesday 6 a.m.;
- Podkarpackie (counties: Jasło, Krosno, KrosnoSanok, Leski, Bieszczady), where alarms will be valid from 4 p.m. on Monday until 6 on Tuesday.
In these regions, strong winds with an average speed of up to 40 kilometers per hour and gusts of up to 80 km/h are expected from the south and southwest.
