IMWM issued meteorological warnings. Wind gusts of up to 80 kilometers per hour are expected in parts of the country on Sunday. Check where it will be dangerous.
Forecasters from the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management issued first-degree warnings on a three-level, increasing scale.
IMWM warnings – strong wind
First degree warnings against strong winds have been issued for the following voivodeships:
- West Pomeranian Voivodeshipfor the SÅ‚awno district;
- Pomeranianfor poviats: Słupsk, SłupskLębork, Wejherowo, Puck.
In these regions, west and north-west winds are expected with an average speed of approximately 40 kilometers per hour, with gusts of up to 80 km/h. The strongest gusts will occur over the sea.
The warnings will be valid from 12-9 p.m. on Sunday.
What is a first-degree IMWM warning?
The first level warning provides for conditions conducive to the occurrence of dangerous meteorological phenomena that may cause material losses and pose a threat to health and life. Conducting business in conditions of exposure to these factors is difficult and dangerous. Expect difficulties resulting from carrying out activities in the hazardous area, including delays caused by traffic disruptions, disruptions to outdoor events or the possibility of their cancellation. Caution is recommended, the need to follow messages and developments in the weather situation.
