IMWM continues to warn about storms. The phenomena will be accompanied by heavy rain, gusty winds and hail. Check where you should be especially careful on Sunday.

Forecasters from the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management (IMWM) issued second and first degree meteorological warnings on a three-level, increasing scale.

IMWM second degree warnings – storms

Second degree warnings ahead storms were issued in the following voivodeships:

  • West Pomeranian Voivodeshipin the entire voivodeship, except for the following counties: Kołobrzeg, Świdwin, Białogard, Drawsko, Choszczno, Wałecki;
  • Pomeranian;
  • Warmian-Masurian Voivodeshipin the following counties: Elbląg, ElblągIława, Nowe Miasto, Działdowo;
  • Masovian Voivodeshipin the following counties: Mława, Ciechanów, Płońsk, Płock, Płock, Gostynin, Sierpc, Żuromin;
  • Łódźin Kutno County;
  • Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeshipin the entire voivodeship, except for the following counties: Radziejowski, Inowrocław, Mogilno, Żnin, Nakło;
  • Greater Polandin the following counties: Złotów, Koło;
  • Lubuskieoutside the following counties: Strzelce-Drezdenecki, Międzyrzecz, Wschowski;

  • Opole provincein the following counties: Nysa, Prudnik, Głubczyce.

Storms are forecast, accompanied in places by very heavy rainfall of 35 to 55 liters per square meter, hail and wind gusts of up to 80 kilometers per hour. As forecasters add, the most dangerous phenomena will occur in spots.

The warnings will expire at 22 on Sunday.

First-degree storm warnings are in force in the following voivodeships:

  • West Pomeranian Voivodeshipin poviats not covered by higher level alerts;
  • Lubuskiein the following counties: Strzelce-Drezden, Międzyrzecz, Wschowski;
  • Lower Silesiaexcept for counties covered by orange warnings;
  • Opole provinceoutside the following counties: Nysa, Prudnik, Głubczyce;
  • Greater Polandoutside the following counties: Złotów and Koło;
  • Warmian-Masurian Voivodeshipin the west of the region in counties not covered by higher level alerts;
  • Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeshipoutside counties covered by orange alerts;
  • Łódźoutside Kutno County;
  • Lesser Polandin the following counties: Chrzanów and Oświęcim;
  • Silesian;
  • Masovian Voivodeshipin the counties of Przasnysz, Maków, Pułtusk, Nowy Dwór, Legionowo, Warsaw West, Sochaczew, Grodzisk, Żyrardów.

Storms are forecast there, accompanied by heavy rainfall of 20 to 35 liters of rain per square meter and wind gusts of up to 70 kilometers per hour. There may be hail locally.

The warnings will expire at 22 on Sunday.
