Usually, the long weekend will be marked by cloudy weather. If there is rainfall, it will only be local and with a weak intensity, but sometimes the wind will accelerate faster. The temperature will gradually drop, but at the beginning of the next week we will feel a significant cooling down.
Poland is under the influence of the Tilda boom with its center moving from Ukraine towards Russia. Only the northern regions of the country in the next 24 hours will be within the range of the North Atlantic and Scandinavian lowlands, which will draw more clouds from the ocean and rain or drizzle. Quite warm, mild polar air flows from south-west Europe.
It will be foggy in places on Thursday morning. During the day, there is little and moderate cloudiness, increasing to high in the north and west. Locally, there will be light rainfall or drizzle of up to 3 liters of water per square meter in the Wybrzeże, Warmia, Mazury and Suwałki regions. The maximum temperature will be from 7 degrees Celsius in the Suwałki region, through 10 degrees C in the center of the country, to 12 degrees C in Małopolska and Subcarpathia. The wind is blowing from west and south-west, light and moderate. On the coast it will be quite strong at times, with gusts reaching speeds of up to 50 kilometers per hour.
Weather forecast for the long weekend
The next day, the weather will still be affected by the high pressure system, but on Saturday a little rainy than will head towards Poland, carrying more clouds and light rainfall. From Monday, according to tvnmeteo.pl, Arleta Unton-Pyziołek, the weather forecaster, “the country will be within the reach of the mighty cold upland from Scandinavia and Russia, which will draw from the north a large arctic cold and a strong drop in temperature in the middle of the month”.
Friday will be light to heavy overcast. In the center of the country, it is possible that there is little rainfall. Clearing can only be expected in the Northeast. The thermometers will show a maximum of 8 degrees C in the Suwałki region, through 9 degrees C in the center, to 11 degrees C in the west. The wind will be south and west, light and moderate.
On Saturday, moderate and heavy clouds are also forecast. In Pomerania there will be light rainfall of up to 3 l / sq m. The maximum temperature will range from 7 degrees C in Podlasie, to 8 degrees C in the center of the country, to 11 degrees C in Podkarpacie. It will blow east, light and moderate, with periods stronger winds, gusts up to 50 km / h.
The last day of the weekend in the northern regions of the country will be light to moderately cloudy. In the rest of Poland, it will be temporarily high with showers of up to 3 l / sq m. Thermometers will show a maximum of 5 degrees C in the Suwałki region, through 7 degrees C in the center, to 9 degrees C in Lower Silesia. It will blow to the north-east and east, weak and moderate, in the north quite strong winds at times, with gusts up to 50 km / h.
Cooling down at the beginning of the next week
It will be better on Monday, but it will be cooler. In the morning in the Suwałki Region, the temperature will drop to -5 degrees Celsius. In the warmest moment of the day, the thermometers will show a maximum of 2 degrees C, and besides, it will be from 5 degrees C in the center of the country, to 8 degrees C in Lower Silesia. The eastern wind will be moderate and quite strong at times. In gusts it will accelerate to 60 km / h.
The following days also promise to be cold. On Tuesday morning, frost up to 7 degrees is possible in the Suwałki Region. Moderate and fairly strong winds will blow from the southeast, with gusts up to 50-70 km / h.
It will also be the coldest in the Suwałki region on Wednesday. In the morning the temperature will be -6 degrees Celsius there. It will still blow from the south-east, moderately and quite strongly. In gusts, the wind speed will reach 50-60 km / h.
