On Saturday, November 11, on Independence Day, President Andrzej Duda laid wreaths in front of the monuments of the Fathers of Independence located on the Royal Route in Warsaw.
The president first laid a wreath in front of the Wincenty Witos monument. Then in front of the monuments of Ignacy Jan Paderewski, Ignacy Daszyński, Roman Dmowski, Wojciech Korfanty and Józef Piłsudski.
The president’s plans for November 11 also include the presentation of state decorations at the Belvedere Palace on the occasion of National Independence Day.
At noon there will be central celebrations with the participation of representatives of the Polish authorities, including: president Andrzej Dudapremiere Mateusz MorawieckiDeputy Prime Minister, Head of the Ministry of National Defense Mariusz BłaszczakMarshal of the Sejm Elżbieta Witek and the Speaker of the Senate, Tomasz Grodzki, will take place at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Warsaw.
Mass, march, concert
Also before noon, a mass for the homeland will be held in the Temple of Divine Providence, presided over by the Metropolitan Archbishop of Warsaw, Cardinal. Kazimierz Nycz. Andrzej Duda and first lady Agata Kornhauser-Duda will take part in the liturgy.
In the afternoon, the Independence March organized by national groups will take place through the streets of the capital.
In the evening, a concert will be held at the Temple of Divine Providence entitled “Freedom is in us” with the participation of Polish and Ukrainian musicians. The event will end with singing patriotic songs together with the Warsaw University of Technology Choir. The artists will be accompanied by the Warsaw Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra.
