26-year-old Aleksandra Buchar, an official from the Góra commune in Lower Silesia, died in a tragic motorcycle accident on the island of Nusa Penida near Bali in Indonesia. The woman and her partner fell off their bike into a cliff after the man driving it lost control of the vehicle. The woman’s boyfriend was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The tragic accident on the island of Nusa Penida near Bali in Indonesia occurred on Monday, January 22. According to the local website The Bali Sun, a 26-year-old Polish woman died after falling into the abyss.

The vehicle was allegedly driven by the woman’s 26-year-old partner, who was taken to hospital in a serious condition.
According to Indonesian police, the man lost control of the vehicle at an intersection along Jalan Raya Tulad road in Batu Kandik. The couple fell off the motorcycle straight into the ravine.
The woman died on the spot, and her partner was transported to hospital with serious injuries. Nusa Penida Police Commissioner Ida Bagus Putra Sumerta emphasizes that there are no barriers to prevent falls at the site of the accident.
We asked the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs about the matter. “The case is known to the Consul of the Republic of Poland in Jakarta. He remains in contact with the families of the injured and provides them with consular assistance in accordance with applicable regulations. Due to the nature of the case, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs does not provide further information on this subject,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs told us in response.

On the day of the tragedy, a message appeared on the office’s website informing about the sudden death of Aleksandra Buchar. Colleagues from work, including Mayor Irena Krzyszkiewicz, said goodbye to their tragically deceased co-worker.

Employees of the office in Góra expressed their sympathy to the family and friends of the deceased Aleksandra. “Ola, you will remain in our hearts forever,” the officials concluded.
