The District Prosecutor’s Office in Lublin presented ten charges to 59-year-old Lucyna P. The most serious one concerns the misappropriation of almost PLN 700,000, and the remaining ones involve, among others, making false statements. According to the findings of the Polish Press Agency, this is the deputy voivode of Podkarpackie in 2018-2020.
Information about the investigation was provided on Thursday by the spokeswoman of the District Prosecutor’s Office in Lublin, Agnieszka Kępka. – Lucyna P., 59, was charged with ten charges. The most serious one concerns the misappropriation of PLN 700,000, the spokeswoman said.
The case dates back to the years 2014-2020, when P. was the president of the association and director of a kindergarten in Przemyśl. According to the findings, being authorized to dispose of the money accumulated in the bank accounts of these institutions, she appropriated and distributed for purposes unrelated to their activities an amount of almost PLN 700,000.
The remaining nine charges concern, among others, submitting false declarations of assets and unreliable documents when applying for funding. The woman pleaded not guilty to the charges and provided explanations to the prosecutor’s office. She was granted bail in the amount of PLN 30,000, police supervision and a ban on contacting witnesses.
As the Polish Press Agency found out, the suspect is the deputy voivode of Podkarpackie in 2018-2020. Later she was vice-president of the management board PGNiG Technologies in Krosno. P. is an activist PIS – she was, among others, the director of Marek Kuchciński’s parliamentary office, councilor, vice-chairman and chairwoman of the Przemyśl City Council.
The charges against her are punishable by up to 10 years in prison.
