Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz in “Kropka nad i” pointed out that not only the war in Ukraine and the COVID-19 epidemic influenced the inflation raging in Poland. – These are the mistakes of the government and the NBP – he said. He also assessed that the anti-inflationary shields proposed by the government did not actually fight it. “There are a few things I need to introduce here,” he suggested.

The guest of Monika Olejnik in Wednesday’s “Kropka nad i” on TVN24 was the head of the peasants, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, who was asked about the rising inflation, which in May amounted to 13.9 percent. In April, the figure was 12.4 percent.

He assessed that inflation in Poland, along with the war in Ukraine and the COVID-19 epidemic, was caused by “mistakes by the rulers and the mistakes of the National Bank of Poland.” – These are the factors that make inflation in Poland very high. Higher than in Germany and higher than in France, higher than in many European Union countries – he stressed.

– What mistakes? Too much money in the market without any coverage at work. Today, the proposals of anti-inflationary shields are proposals of social welfare, not of fighting inflation. There are a few things that need to be introduced here, ‘he said. – First, draw money from the market, release interest-bearing bonds, now at 15 percent, because that’s what inflation is, eliminate Belka’s tax (paid on the profit from savings earned, for example, when selling shares – ed.), Help borrowers and give opportunities for new loans, i.e. a mortgage fund with a fixed interest rate and a departure from margins in state-owned banks so that those who took loans could pay them back – he replaced.

The head of the PSL further described that it is necessary to “stimulate investments”, that is – as he said – the National Reconstruction Plan, as well as “legislative security and changes in the justice system, so that foreign investors would want to come to Poland and bet on renewable energy, which can be a flywheel. Polish economy “.

Kosiniak-Kamysz: the revised proposal on the Disciplinary Chamber guarantees funds from the KPO

The President of the PSL was also asked about the work completed in the Sejm and Senate on the project assuming the liquidation of the Supreme Court Disciplinary Chamber, questioned as an independent body. Last week, it was decided to adopt the presidential bill, which provides for the liquidation of the Chamber and its replacement with a new one – the Chamber of Professional Responsibility. Today the Senate adopted it with amendments.

The liquidation of the Disciplinary Chamber is one of the “milestones”, the implementation of which was to give the green light for the approval of the Polish National Reconstruction Plan by the European Commission.

– It is not a coincidence that the Senate is convened today so that the head of the Commission, coming to Poland, would have an amended law on the table, which guarantees the payment of funds, said Kosiniak-Kamysz, even before voting in the Senate on this bill. In his speech, he referred to tomorrow’s visit of the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, to Warsaw.

Kosiniak-Kamysz assessed that the draft with the Senate’s amendments is “a guarantee of the release of funds” from the KPO. – If the rulers reject this, I am afraid that these funds will not be available – he assessed. The Senate introduced 29 amendments to the draft.
