Inflation after unfreezing energy prices will increase to 5.6 percent in 2025 – NBP forecasts in the “Inflation Report”. In turn, if energy prices remain frozen, inflation in 2025 will amount to 4.3 percent.
On Friday, the National Bank of Poland published the “Inflation Report”, containing a projection inflation and GDP (i.e. a forecast obtained assuming no changes interest rates).
In October this year, inflation was 5 percent, which means that the prices of consumer goods and services in October 2024 increased year-on-year by 5 percent. Compared to the previous month, they increased by 0.3 percent – the Central Statistical Office reported in a quick estimate.

The NBP has prepared two versions of the projection – one assumes complete frostbite electricity prices for households. In such a situation, in accordance with the so-called central path, inflation in 2024 will amount to 3.7%, in 2025 – 5.6%. and 2.7 percent in 2026
In turn, the central GDP growth path with unfreezing energy prices predicts that it will amount to 2.7% in 2024, 3.4% in 2025, and 2.8% in 2026.
The second version of the projection assumes that energy prices they will remain frozen. Then the central inflation path also predicts 3.7%. price increase in 2024, in 2025 – 4.3%, and in 2026 – 2.8%.
In turn, the central GDP growth path is 2.7%. GDP in 2024, 3.5 percent in 2025 and 2.9 percent in 2026
