Intoxicated 13-year-olds at a disco. The police intervened

The police and emergency services intervened in one of the schools in the Oświęcim district. It turned out that two students attending the disco organized there were under the influence of alcohol. One of them was taken to hospital.

The operator received the emergency number 112 on Friday around 7 p.m. The call came from a teacher of a primary school where a disco for students was being organized. The guardians noticed that the two 13-year-olds were most likely under the influence of alcohol.

The police conducted a sobriety test on the teenagers. It turned out that the first one had 0.2 per mille of alcohol in the body, and the second one had 0.8 per mille.

“One of the minors was placed under the care of his parents, while the other, together with his parents, was taken to hospital under the care of paramedics. Currently, the police are identifying the person who provided alcohol to minors,” says the Małopolska police.

Providing alcohol to a minor is punishable by up to two years in prison. “Consumption of alcohol by minors is a manifestation of demoralization, therefore the materials of this case will also be forwarded to the District Court in Oświęcim, Family and Juvenile Department, in order to initiate a case to counteract demoralization,” the police announce.
