Church organizations return millions. MEN: This is not the end
The Ministry of National Education announced that over PLN 23 million from the grant programs of Minister Czarnek returned to the state budget – these are funds allocated in 2022 and 2023 as part of the “Investments in Education” program, which beneficiaries have already returned to the ministry. The largest amount was given by the Diocese of Siedlce – over PLN 10 million. Among the organizations that gave up the subsidies, there was also the Our Future Foundation, associated with Father Tadeusz Rydzyk.
- The Diocese of Siedlce gave PLN 10.5 million to the state budget from the “Investments in education” program – the Ministry of National Education said. “This is a bastard, because this money is not suspended to the bishop or priest director or teachers of this high school, but they are suspended by this youth” – commented the former minister, quoted by “Siedlce Życie”.
- Among the entities that returned the funds, there was also the Nasz Future Foundation, which gave 175 thousand. zloty. We reached the substantive assessment cards of its grant applications from 2022, which were assessed negatively by the ministry's experts. Despite this, the foundation received a total of 530 thousand. PLN as part of various subsidies from the ministry.
- The Ministry of National Education ensures that this is not the end of phrases – administrative inspections and procedures are still ongoing.
- – The point is that in addition to saying: “Hey, you don't do it”, be able to say: “We drew conclusions, we will do it, but correctly, according to the rules” – comments the expert.
Former minister of education Przemysław Czarneklaunching the “Investments in Education” Grant Program in 2022, he emphasized: – 100,000 children who attend these schools also need gyms, modern classrooms, and very good conditions for education.
