The new “budget” model of the iPhone is called iPhone 16E and in the official distribution its cheapest version costs $ 599, and in the Polish store PLN 2999 (although 599 dollars at the current exchange rate is about PLN 2.4 thousand). With the new series of the series, the note “SE” was abandoned, which accompanies the models of this series from the date of their introduction.

The previous generation of the iPhone SE, released in 2022, is available at the price of $ 429. The prices of the iPhone 16, launched in September, start from $ 799 for the basic variant.

The iPhone 16E will be powered by the A18 chip used in more expensive models launched in September last year and will immediately serve Apple Intelligence.

It is $ 200 cheaper than the cheapest version of the iPhone 16 presented in September and will be available only in black and white, while the more expensive iPhone 16 models are available in many bright shades.

The 16E model will also be the first Apple device equipped with a C1 chip, the first internal modem designed for cell community and is a departure from chips produced by Qualcomm.

His camera system will have a 48-megapixel sensor and two lenses, one of which will be a lens with a two-time zoom integrated with the main camera, but it will run out of a wide-angle lens found in more expensive models.

Among others The fact that the 16E model will have a cut out in the upper part of the screen instead of cutting around the front camera that displays alerts and activities. The previous SE models were famous for its smaller screen size, but the latest generation has a 6.1 -inch display, the same as the cheapest model of the iPhone 16.

At the end of last month, Apple forecasted a strong increase in sales, signaling that the company would make up for losses after a decrease in sales of the iPhone as the artificial intelligence function was implemented in the coming months in a larger number of regions and languages.

Analysts, however, are cautious about these predictions. This is because the functions of the artificial intelligence of Apple, in the latest iPhone 16 line and the iPhone 15 Pro model, are to be implemented in stages in some regions. Consumers may simply not want to wait for promises in some time.
