Iran’s foreign ministry summoned the Swedish and Danish chargé d’affaires in Tehran on Sunday to protest against the burning and destruction of the Koran in both countries, state media reported.
The Reuters agency reminds that in recent months anti-Islam activists in Denmark and Sweden burned or destroyed several copies of the Koran – the holy book of Muslims.
These incidents sparked outrage in the Muslim world. There were voices calling for the banning of such acts against the governments of both countries.

Both the Copenhagen and Stockholm governments have condemned the destruction of the Koran and said they are considering new laws to prevent such acts.
