Iran: Gunmen kill 11 in assault on police station | World Information

Eleven individuals have been killed and a number of other others injured in an assault on a police station by suspected members of a separatist group, Iran state TV has mentioned.

Ali Reza Marhemati, the deputy governor of Sistan and Baluchistan province, mentioned senior cops and troopers have been amongst those that died within the assault within the city of Rask at about 2am on Friday.

He mentioned a number of of the attackers have been killed by police in a shootout.

State TV blamed the assault on the Jaish al Adl separatist group.
