On Sunday, Iranian television published a recording lasting about 10 seconds, which purports to show the last moments of the helicopter's flight before the crash. They show the country's president and his team flying over a dam in the north-east of Iran.

The helicopter from inside which the recording was made was part of a convoy with a total of three helicopters. In addition to the president, Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian and other officials were on board. The two remaining machines landed safely.

The wreck of the presidential helicopter was located on Monday morning. Probably no one survived. “There is no sign of life” around the wreck, Iranian state news agencies reported. However, the president's death has not been officially confirmed yet.
