This involves a ban on the sale of alcohol at gas stations between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m.

We asked the Ministry of Health for a comment on this matter. “The government programming team is working on the issue of bans on the sale of alcohol at gas stations from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., alcohol price promotion and online alcohol sales – we have included these solutions in our project. As always, other ministries contribute their comments and proposals , this is part of the process of creating law in Poland. We are at the stage of intensive work on the final shape of the act,” we read in the response of the Ministry of Health sent to Next.gazeta.pl.

However, as she emphasized, the final decision on the date of introducing changes to the law will be made after public consultations. – I understand that many entities will want to express their opinion: business entities, but probably also NGOs and the social side in general. Let us remind you that the proposed regulations also impose on sellers or those serving alcohol the obligation to refuse to sell or serve alcoholic beverages to persons who have not presented a document confirming that they are over 18 years of age. Currently, sellers may, but are not required to, verify the age of purchasers of alcoholic beverages. The project is scheduled to be presented to the Council of Ministers in the fourth quarter of this year.
