Israeli Police Chief: The attacker had a letter with him

Israeli police chief Kobi Shabtai arrived at the scene of the attack and said the attacker was a resident of Jenin in the West Bank. He also reported that the man had a letter with him in which he expressed his desire to become a “martyr”.

The Palestinian gunman was identified by the Shin Bet security agency as a member of the Palestinian terrorist group Islamic Jihad from the Jenin refugee camp in the West Bank.
