The transfer saga with Blaze Kramer has been going on for a few weeks now. The striker first had an offer from the Turkish Konyaspor and even went to sign a contract, but then he unexpectedly returned to Warsaw. Then Slovan Bratislava were interested in him, but the 28-year-old didn't make it there either. It worked out on the third try and now Kramer is officially leaving Legia, moving to Konyaspor.
Blaz Kramer left Legia Warsaw. He will play in Turkey and the club will make a lot of money
The transfer was announced by Kramer's new club, which shared photos of him from his first photoshoot and the signing of the contract. “We welcome Blaz Kramer,” Konyaspor wrote on their official website. “Our club has signed a three-year contract with a new striker,” the post continues. We also learn that the signing of the contract took place in the club's museum, and the player will wear the number 99 shirt.
– I really wanted to come to Konyaspor. It didn't work out before, but now I'm their player. It's an excellent club. I started this season well in the Warsaw team. I will continue my goals in my new team. I want to help my teammates as best I can – Kramer said in an interview with the club's portal.
The Slovenian is saying goodbye to Warsaw after two years, as he joined Legia in July 2022 after his contract with FC Zurich expired. During that time, he managed to play in 57 matches, scoring 17 goals and providing five assists. He won the Polish Cup and Super Cup, and in the current season, he was the most effective striker for the capital club. In 11 matches, he scored five goals and provided four assists.
Legia was left without a key player after the transfer window closed, but of course they will make money on the transfer. Portal legionisci.com informs that the Warsaw club will probably receive a transfer of around 700 thousand euros for the striker. This is quite a large amount, considering the fact that Kramer, apart from his great skills, is an injury-prone player, and his contract expires at the end of the 2024/25 season.
Legia Warsaw will play its next match on Sunday, September 15, when it will face Raków Częstochowa in the highlight of the eighth round of the Ekstraklasa. Coach Goncalo Feio had been putting together a line-up without Kramer before the international break, when Legia defeated Motor Lublin 5:2.
