He described Zelanski's “dictator without elections”, referring to the fact that because of the war in Ukraine, the presidential elections planned for last year.

Presidential elections in Ukraine should be planned in 2024, but they were not carried out due to the ongoing war. Ukrainian law prohibits the organization of presidential and parliamentary elections, referendums or making changes to the constitution during martial law. It is Russian propaganda since May 2024 forcing disinformation narrative that Zelanski is an illegal president and “forbade” the election.

I am not saying that Trump does it deliberately, but in reality there will be no peace – said Breeks. She repeated that “the frozen conflict is not and will not be a room.”

– If Putin spoke last week in a telephone conversation with Donald Trump that the room is possible only when they are eliminated, I quote President Putin, the original causes of the problem, this original cause of the problem is the Ukrainian state. That is, until Ukraine is not only divided, but also very weak, basically until its statehood is limited or even terminated, for Putin it will not be a solution to the original causes of this conflict – she noted.

– So let's not delude ourselves. These conversations are not about peace and peace until Russia's imperial ambitions are inhibited – said the political scientist.

– If President Trump – and he confirmed this – he sees in Russia and President Putin not a threat to international security, not a hostile state, but a partner, at most a competitor, he completely creates a different optics. Here we should understand why President Trump, when assessing Putin, does not use scares, methods of stopping Russia, but incentives and wants a quick deal on far -reaching Russian conditions – she said.
