– We will host a conference on (post-war) reconstruction (of Ukraine) in June 2025, we are working towards a peace conference. But we are not at war with Russia. What should we agree to? The bombing of Moscow? – asked the head of Italian diplomacy. – Where would the border be? – he added.

He also said that “we need to be serious, avoiding any escalation.”

Tajani also referred to the position of the head of EU diplomacy, Josep Borrell, who spoke in favor of lifting restrictions on the use of Western weapons. This issue has divided EU governments. “Borrell speaks on his own behalf, not on behalf of member states, which have different legislation,” the foreign minister said. He noted that the Spanish politician's term of office is ending soon.
